Sip N’ Chat Book Club

Sip N’ Chat Book Club

I’ve been wanting to start a book club for almost a year. I love books, discussing books and connecting with people who love books. So creating Sip N’ Chat book club was something that gave me great pleasure. Much appreciation to the Grenada Community Library for coming on board to partner with me to host the club.

Starting Saturday 11 February and continuing every other Saturday, we will meet at the library to read, share, sip coffee and get immersed in books. I wanted to focus on our local talent and for the launch and continuing for the first half of the year,  we’ll focus on the work of Grenadian writers.

There’s no charge to attend the book club and you can register using the form at the bottom of the page. Refreshments will be provided by Spice Isle Coffee (thank you guys for your usual support). Although there is no fee to attend, I’m going to ask you to kindly consider making a contribution to support the work of the Grenada Community Library. It could be $5, it could be the gift of your time as a volunteer. The library is a non-profit so every bit of support goes a long way.

Start time is 11am and we go until 1pm. In our first book club meeting, we want to focus on the work of local author, Cindy Mc Kenzie. Cindy is the author of Force Ripe, a book I love and highly recommend. There are two copies of the book at the library, so grab them fast if you are unable to purchase. The book can also be found on Amazon’s Kindle store and you can also purchase it locally. Cindy is out of copies but gave the places where books are sold. See below.

Locally, you can find Force Ripe at:

  • Art & Soul Books – Spiceland Mall in Grand Anse
  • The Grenada National Museum – Young Street
  • House Of Chocolate, Young Street (Old Tikal)
  • Mitchell’s Health & Wellness Pharmacy– Excel Plaza
  • Ganzee- The Island Shop, Esplanade Mall, St George’s
  • Grenada To Go Point Salines Int Airport
  • Springle’s Barber Shop – Sauteurs
Please free free to get in touch me with using the comments below if you have any questions.
