It’s Friday! Woot, woot!
What a crazy month. I’m so thankful for the love and support of my peeps and God’s grace. I can’t remember when last I’ve been so overwhelmed, but in a positive way.
So KayNicole and I have been working hard to get our ducks in a row for Sisterhood In Motion. In case you missed it, Sisterhood In Motion is an event that brings together 10 women speakers who will speak on topics such as Financial Management, Sisterhood & Community, Modeling Healthy Relationships, Finding Bliss and Balance, Aging with Grace & Glam and more. Additionally we will have a nurse at the event who will be checking blood pressure and doing breast examinations. We really want to make this event woman-focused and woman-centric. But more than an event, we want this to be the launch of a community. We want to create a community of women who meet on and offline to support, connect with and empower each other.
When we first advertised the event we were looking at using the Public Workers Union. We’ve decided instead to use the Priory House (the historical looking building opposite the Credit Union on Church Street and next to the Anglican Church). We liked the ambience of the surroundings and felt it would lend well to the intimate vibe and atmosphere we want for the event.
Okay, so tickets are available from today. Yay!! You can call me on 535 5000 to get tickets, email me here or, my preferred recommendation, complete the form here and I’ll make those tickets magically appear to you. Just kidding, my magic skills are down, currently in the shop, but I’ll hook you up. Tickets are $35 each and can only be purchased in advance as we won’t be selling at the venue on the day of the event. Remember folks, it’s Saturday 28 November from 2PM to 6PM.
You’ll be hearing more about the event, the speakers and what to expect as we lead up to the big day. Stay tuned to the blog and our Facebook page for more event info.
