I’m really passionate about holistic branding. I want to help women build brilliant brands that make meaning for their intended audience and help the brand owner have a sense of fulfillment. Brands that stand out more than visually but touch and impact others.
Sometime ago I shared a post here on what I feel branding is all about. It’s on my branding studio’s blog. The post got over 22k shares on LinkedIn, so I know that it resonated with others. I felt it was important to write this post. As someone who makes most of their incoming from helping small businesses and individuals create a brand from the ground up, it really bothers me when I hear folks use the terms ‘brand’ and ‘branding’ loosely and interchangeably.
There’s so much noise in the interwebs on personal branding, how to build a brand and what a good brand looks like. Interestingly, I see a lot of emphasis on what I call the elements of a brand – logo, design, stationery and all that jazz. And that’s good. Those things are an important feature of your brand because it makes your brand recognizable and identifiable. However there’s SO much more that goes into a brand. See my take on it all in the post. The post is a bit long – advanced notice given – but I think it will be worth the read.
If you like what you see or if you disagree, don’t hesitate to share your views in the comments section. I’m always looking to expand my knowledge and love to learn from others. Until, my next post, have a happy day.
